Wedding receptions and private parties

Weddings, receptions and parties can be held in the House or in a marquee on the front lawn. The Great Hall of Appuldurcombe House can cope with 100 on individual tables or up to 120 on long tables. By using a marquee this can be extended up to 400.

We have two rooms licensed for your wedding ceremony , the Drawing Room which can seat around 90 or the Main Hall which is at least twice as big . The whole site is licenced for music and dancing from midday until midnight and if you are selling Alcohol until 11pm . Please note the house is closed to the public from 12 each saturday and we only have one wedding at a time !

Weddings can be at any time of year, though early planning will be needed to avoid a clash with our other special events see website for events for the year or give us a ring on 01983840188 ext1 to check

Please ring to discuss details or come to the shop to look at our book of photos of previous weddings and parties.A non-returnable deposit of £100 is required for a firm booking.The holiday cottages on site can also be booked for wedding guests.

Price is for hire of building , electric and use of the various licenses etc . To this will need to be added hire of furniture,catering,lighting, decoration etc all of which are normally supplied by either of our island marquee companies or can be organised by yourselves
Price . This will depend on the size of the function ; £1000 plus vat for a wedding of up to 110 Guests using the house ,£1500 plus vat for a larger wedding with up to 200 Guests using house and a marquee .
